Hey Therese, Nectar is a medium feeling mattress, if you still think it’s too firm. Then I’m afraid you should pick up a soft or soft to medium feeling mattress. Since you are only 125 pounds so I guess you won’t sink too much into it. But don’t choose cheap memory foam mattress on amazon, they may cause some back problem and it’s your concern as well. You mentioned Layla, it would be great to try Layla’s soft side, since you are only 125 pounds so I don’t think you will sink too much into it. L&L is good but I think it’s too expensive. And you can consider Aviya mattress(See review getbestmattress.com/aviya-mattress-review/) as well if you don’t mind using a hybird(memory foam+ innerspring) mattress as well, it has 3 firmness scales to pick up.

Both NECTAR and Novosbed are 11″ 3 layers memory foam mattress. If you are good to go with “medium” feelings(the feeling is very subjective,if 10 is the hardest it would be 5-7), then surely pick up Nectar, no doubt. Better price, cooler, better warranty and trial. And yes feel like a temper as in your slowly sink. Novosbed is a good mattress, but trust me, toooooooo expensive.

You are always welcome Jeannette, choosing mattress is a tough job, there is no best mattress, just the best mattress for your needs. More and more high-tech are used in mattress industry, and I believe they will be more and more high new brands come out in future, but I think it’s a good thing for customers.

Hi Leti, Ghostbed is more bouncy, while Nectar and Layla is more comfortable and can provide better contouring. Mostly you sleep on your side and stomach, compared with comfort and contouring, I think bouncy is not the most important factor you should consider, so I would suggest Nectar or Layla.
Layla’s soft side would be great if you are a pure side sleeper, but sometimes you need to sleep with your stomach right? And as you mentioned, Nectar now provided free pillows, so it would be great offer I think. The only concern would be the ship date(Seemed they’re now out of stock? or Get fixed already?), remember to double check with the customer service.

Yes, and seemed they will send 2 pillows for free as compensation, if no hurry it would be great deal. I guess they just sold too much and don’t have enough inventory right now.

Hey James, it depends on what you care most, Nectar is softer than Casper, but not too much. If you are back sleeper or stomach sleeper, it would be perfect. If you are side sleeper with medium firmness scale, it would be perfect as well. But if you prefer soft feelings, just like sleep on the cloud. maybe you can consider Layla mattress (Soft side).
And you are right, I don’t think there are any other mattress can beat NECTAR on price(balance feature, value and price). We recommend you get it a try. Double confirm with their customer service team for shipping day as well. Good Luck.

Sorry to hear that Cheryl, yes please double check with their inventory before order. Actually last time(Before President’s Day) I tried to contact with them to get a bigger coupon for readers of getbestmattress.com and was told they got so much sales recently and that’s our of their expect, so some customers may get delayed. So they rejected to give me bigger coupon code:) But I was also told 1000+ mattresses is coming so it shouldn’t be a problem now?

I would suggest her take Layla a try. This is the world’s first copper infused memory foam mattress. And very good at joint pain relief(Reference their official site).
Most side sleepers would prefer soft mattress, I’ve no idea why your sister prefer firm version :). But never mind, she can try both sides of Layla and decide if it worked for her. If unlucky, return it within 120 nights, it’s free.

Hey Cheryl, thanks for dropping by. If you are a pure side sleeper, I would suggest you take Layla mattress, it has 2 version(soft and firm), the soft version is very comfortable and friendly for side sleepers. But you also mentioned sometimes you need to sleep with your stomach, if the mattress is too soft, you might sink into it. So personally I would suggest you take a medium feeling mattress(Bingo, both Dromma bed and Nectar work for you ).
If you like push back feeling, take Dromma(they use latex), else take NECTAR. Personally I would prefer Nectar better, sleep cool, comfortable, and more affordable price. Hope this help.

Hi Caisey, sorry to hear that. I think in the case you can ask for something else as a compensation, like free pillows if they have? I was told by Craig who is the founder of NECTAR that over 1,000 is now in stock so it shouldn’t be a problem for the coming sales.

Of course, the firmness scale of NECTAR is 6-6.5/10, perfect for back sleepers. Compared with other online mattresses, NECTAR is higher(11″) , the word’s only forever warranty, very long free trial (365 nights, the industry standard is just 10 years).Absolutely best mattress under $1,000.
Luxi has more than 1 firmness scale to choose, but for you, I believe medium would be the most suitable, and one of our reader report she met bad customer service from Luxi, you can reference comment of Luxi mattress review(http://getbestmattress.com/luxi-mattress-review/).
So I suggest you give NECTAR a try. I believe you’ll like it.

Yes, of course. NECTAR use 2 layers of gel memory foam. Surely best choice within $1,000.
Another alternative is Layla mattress, it’s the only mattress used copper memory foam and designed for side sleepers. You can read full review http://getbestmattress.com/layla-mattress-review/
    Both won’t let you down.

Hey Bill and Lisa, thanks for dropping by 🙂
For others I may recommend NECTAR, but for you, I guess Avocago would be more suitable. You love pillow top right? Latex is not as firm as you worried about, especially with pillow top, it would be good to go.
If take budget into consider, of course NECTAR or Layla would be the best. both sleep cool and comfortable, and provided lifetime warranty. The only drawback is their bouncy. Not as good as latex mattress.
    personally, I would recommend Avocago>NECTAR>Layla>Dromma

Hey Amanda, sorry to hear that, yes you can’t get a “natural” or “organic” latex mattress within $1,000. If you wish I would like you reference Avocago natural latex mattress or Spindle mattress. I’ll update on my post later to avoid any misunderstanding. thanks for sharing.

Hey Brendon, of course it has enough bouncy, as I mentioned in the review, the third layer is 3″ adaptive Hi Core memory foam, it make sure you won’t stuck inside the mattress. Yes I mentioned the bouncy is not as good as Dromma bed or Leesa, that’s because Dromma bed just use latex as top layer, and Leesa use Avena foam(feels like latex) as top layer, but that doesn’t mean NECTAR is lack of bouncy you know.

Hey, Seamus , I just got message from Jamie, not sure if you’re the family 🙂
I owned NECTAR for about 45 days. No problem at all, maybe some misfit in the first two days, but now no problem at all, and better and better, sleep cool, comfortable, no toss and turn , really like it.
This is a young American company(less than one year) so I guess you can’t see too much review right now, I guess not too much mattress review site tried this mattress, but I believe there would be more and more in the coming month.
Just give it a try, if really not your cake(but I believe you will like it), then return for free within 365 nights so nothing to worry about. Hope this help.

Hey bro, I’m afraid you need go to Tempur-Pedic if you insist on 5 lb, all of them use 3.5-4 lb foam. Or some cheap mattress on amazon like https://www.amazon.com/DreamDNA-American-Elastic-Memory-Mattress/dp/B00KV76RJU/ref=sr_1_15?s=home-garden&ie=UTF8&qid=1483283720&sr=1-15&keywords=5+lb+foam+mattress ?. Personally I don’t think this is the key point.

Hey Zev, good question, NECTAR bed just got released on 09/26/2016 on Amazon, if too much reviews, then they should be fake review :-). As I claimed in http://getbestmattress.com/brooklyn-bedding-vs-leesa-vs-nectar-vs-casper-vs-helix/ , Nectar is a young company so compared with Leesa/Ghostbed, is got less exposure, I guess more and more mattress review site will post review in 2-3 months. Don’t worry, this is a awesome mattress, I’m sure you will like it, don’t forget to share with us your experience with NEctar here. Cheers!

Hey T. Neale, thanks for droping by, good question, but hard to answer. Short answer is, no, and never, including Temperpedic
The original NASA foam was never suitable for sleeping because it broke down in time and lacked the comfort needed to make a good mattress. But the Program never intended to use space foam for bedding. Remember, it was developed for astronauts’ seats, not for sleeping.
And Tempurpedic did turn this early recipe into an unique material now commonly known as memory foam. Some people still like to call it NASA foam. And other companies did the similar job, they use this technology, but different in details.

Hey Donna, thanks for dropping by, good question, and I’m sorry to confuse you, yes you’re right, they provided a “white glove service”, set up new mattress for $100 and remove old mattress for $39 as you said, but this is optional, as long as you have a flat surface you can install by yourself. What I mean for free is the shipment as return, actually as I know, only a few mattress companies provided “white glove service”, and none of them is free. hope this help.

yes,we reviewed and compare them with other mattress
like Loom & Leaf vs Leesa vs Brentwood Home vs Saatva vs Tempur-Pedic
and Saatva vs helix vs dromma bed, personally we don’t recommend saatva, loom leaf is ok if money is not your first concern.

Hi Tom, less than 3 lb care called low density foam, 3-5 lbs are called medium density foam, more than 5 is called high density foam. low density foam is soft, this kind of memory foam mattress feels softer, and you’ll sink into it more quickly. high density foam is firm, these mattresses have outstanding support and durability. So as the comfort layer, most mattress company choose the medium density foam, as I know, NECTAR used 3.5 lbs memory foam with a medical grade cooling and recovery levels, Ghostbed used 4 lbs density of gel memory foam with larger cells.

Hey buddy, any of them you won’t regret.
NECTAR sleeps more comfortable than Ghostbed, but Ghostbed is more bouncy. Both of them sleep cool.
If you prefer hug feelings choose NECTAR, if you prefer push back feelings, choose Ghostbed.
With NECTAR, you can get limited time $125 OFF, with Ghostbed, you can get free pillows. Good luck buddy and Merry X-Mas.

Hey Therese, thanks for dropping by, if I were you I would choose NECTAR without any doubt, especially you are a side sleeper, NECTAR is thicker, has better warranty and free trial, and now they even provided $125 coupon for X-mas sale, I don’t know why you has any hesitation, if you prefer push back foam, then Leesa is another good choice, although it’s more expensive.

For the firmness scale, it’s very subjective, I would rate NECTAR 5.5-6.5/10, and HYPHEN 6-7/10, hope this help.

Bedinabox is a good mattress brand, but it has too many collections, just like Amerisleep, and more important it’s more expensive than its actual cost, that’s why we exclude it from our best memory foam mattress list. If I go through a list between $1,000-$2,000, it will be there.
